The host family lives upstairs and is available if needed but does not share or access the studio space during your stay.
Get AroundThe studio is extremely well connected. The B and Q subway lines have stops at both Kings Highway and Avenue M, each a short walk from the studio, putting you 20–25 minutes from Midtown Manhattan and a quick ride to anywhere in Brooklyn. The B6, B8, and B82 bus lines run along the major avenues for local trips within the neighborhood. Coney Island Avenue and Kings Highway are both nearby for easy cab and Uber pickup. That said, most of what a Shabbos or Yom Tov guest needs — shuls, kosher restaurants, grocery stores — is fully within walking distance, making a car entirely optional for the duration of a typical stay.
